LogistiCorp/Pegasus Nabs Big TI Contract

December 26, 2003 – Third-party logistics provider LogistiCorp/Pegasus Logistics Group, an alliance formed in 2001, has won a three-year, $2.3 million contract with technology giant Texas Instruments.

LogistiCorp/Pegasus Logistics Group will supply statewide site-to-site trucking support and material routing center management for Texas Instruments Inc.

Dallas-based LogistiCorp is a minority-owned freight transportation and logistics company.

Grapevine-based Pegasus Logistics Group is a worldwide transportation, warehouse and logistics provider.

The alliance has 175 employees, with 23 of those dedicated to the TI business.

"We're upholding our commitment to work with minority businesses where it makes good sense," said Mark Smith, transportation manager for TI in the Americas. "In this case, we'll be seeing an estimated annual savings of $250,000."

Said Garry D. Castro, president and CEO of LogistiCorp, said, "We knew it was going to be tough. We were up against industry giants."
