Pegasus Logistics Group To Host Corporate "Battle of the Bands"

Company Issues Challenge To Area Corporate Bands

Grapevine, Texas (Nov. 2, 2005) – Pegasus Logistics Group, the market leader in time-definite transportation, announces a corporate "Battle of the Bands" competition benefiting the American Lung Association via the Beam Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports charitable organizations in the community.

The competition will take place in the Deep Ellum entertainment district or an alternative Dallas-Fort Worth live-music venue in February 2006. The competition is open to any company with a band consisting of at least 50 percent of their own employees and associates. The grand-prize winners receive airfare and a Saturday-night booking at the world-famous Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood, Calif. The winning band opens for a "top-draw" band. The cost of sponsoring a band is $5,000.

"The Beam Foundation is committed to supporting the American Lung Association and other charities," said Ken Beam, president and CEO of Pegasus Logistics Group. "My wife, Darla, and I have been blessed to be a part of the success of Pegasus during the last 11 years. This success allows us to focus our energies on raising money for the American Lung Association and other charitable organizations."

Ken Beam and his wife, Darla Beam, will host the event in conjunction with The Beam Foundation and Pegasus Logistics Group. Title sponsors for the event include Lorenzo's Bassment, with additional sponsorships available. All corporate band participants will receive advertising and promotion at the Dallas-based event.

All competing bands receive a complete participation package. The package includes a band photo, a live CD, a video recording of their performance, band consulting from Lorenzo’s Bassment, and potential press coverage. Interested parties should contact Fred Rayner at (817) 481-7226 or frayner@plg.cc.

"The employees of Pegasus have embraced the efforts of the Beam Foundation and continuously look for new and creative ways to raise money and awareness," said Fred Rayner, chief financial officer of Pegasus Logistics Group. "Music is a way for people to express themselves and requires a significant amount of teamwork for a band to pull together a live performance. This is a way for companies to support the community, enhance their team-building efforts and have a ton of fun! For musicians, the chance to play at a legendary venue like the Whisky a Go Go is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
